The role is suited to an experienced educator who can deliver engaging IB Business instruction, develop students' critical thinking and enquiry skills, and contribute positively to the academic and wider life of the school.

Your Role As a High School IB Business Teacher

As a High School IB Business Teacher, you will deliver Business lessons that encourage students to explore concepts, think critically, and participate actively in their learning. You will combine strong subject knowledge with inquiry-based approaches, differentiated instruction, and effective collaboration with colleagues, students, and parents.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging and interactive IB Business lessons to High School students in accordance with the school’s curriculum and educational standards.
• Develop and implement creative teaching strategies that strengthen students' interest in Business and develop critical thinking skills.
• Apply inquiry-based approaches to support effective Business teaching and learning.
• Differentiate instruction to address the diverse learning needs of students.
• Maintain continuity and consistency in curriculum delivery.
• Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages curiosity, enquiry, and participation.
• Collaborate with colleagues to maintain a supportive and effective learning environment.
• Participate in parent-teacher conferences and maintain open communication with parents regarding student progress.
• Build constructive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
• Contribute to enrichment opportunities, professional learning, and the wider life of Dubai American Academy.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor of Education degree, or an initial degree combined with a relevant teaching qualification such as a PGCE, State License, or equivalent specialising in Business.
• Proven experience teaching IB Business at High School level.
• Experience within an American curriculum or IB curriculum school is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of inquiry-based learning and Business instruction.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to develop strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
• Commitment to continually improving professional practice and delivering outstanding teaching and learning experiences.
