Job summary

Wood is recruiting a Rotational Support / Remote Engineer - Instrument & Control to join its UAE business unit in Sharjah. This full-time role provides day-to-day I&C engineering support for site operations, helping deliver safe, reliable, and compliant operations.

The candidate will collaborate with the site team to identify longer-term engineering solutions, monitor KPIs, support MoCs and EQs, and contribute to production growth while developing technical documentation and coaching client

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering or related discipline; professional accreditation may be required.
• Significant experience in an Operations I&C Engineering support role.
• Sound knowledge of industry codes, standards and regulations; ability to guide appropriate designs and systems.

Responsibilities

• Performs day to day I&C Engineering support to deliver immediate operations support with site team.
• Ensures that asset I&C Engineering risks are understood and actions to reduce risk are driven.
• Defines I&C Engineering operating envelopes and monitors health of equipment.
• Monitors I&C Engineering KPIs and initiates corrective actions as needed.
• Provides I&C Engineering support to Management of Change (MoCs) and Engineering Queries (EQs).
• Identifies production vulnerabilities and optimization opportunities to support production forecast and growth.
• Writes, reviews and inputs into Site Operations Procedures (SOPs).
• Provides I&C Engineering coaching to Client engineers.

Job Purpose

• Performs day to day I&C Engineering support to deliver immediate operations support, working closely with the site
  team to resolve issues under the direction of the Operations Engineering Manager.
• Ensures that asset I&C Engineering risks are understood, appropriately risk assessed, and actions driven to reduce risk
  within agreed timeframe.
• Defines I&C Engineering operating envelopes, monitors health of static I&C Engineering equipment using operating
  envelopes, records and investigates excursions outside operating envelopes.
• Monitors I&C Engineering Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and initiates corrective action as necessary.
• Provides I&C Engineering support to technical Management of Change (MoCs) and Engineering Queries (EQs).
• Identifies production vulnerabilities and optimization opportunities to support production forecast and growth.
• Write, review, recommend technical input into Site Operations Procedures (SOPs).
• Provides I&C Engineering coaching to Client engineers.
• Generates, revises, reviews discipline Technical Documentation.

• Degree in Engineering or related discipline and / or equivalent relevant professional qualification.
• Professional accreditation – Chartered Engineer or Professional Engineer.

Experience and Job Requirements

• Significant experience in an Operations I&C Engineering support role.
• Advanced technical knowledge and experience in engineering, with sound knowledge of the relevant industry codes,
  standards and regulations, and the ability to initiate guidance on the appropriate designs and systems to prevent,
  control and mitigate risks.
• Sound stakeholder management experience.
