Job summary

Meliá Desert Palm Dubai, part of Meliá Hotels International, seeks a skilled AC Technician to join our Engineering team. You will maintain and repair the resort's HVAC/R systems, ensuring safety, quality and guest comfort while adhering to hotel standards and energy efficiency goals.

Qualifications

• English proficiency for reading, writing and speaking.
• At least 1 year of experience as AC/HVAC technician or similar role.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Good understanding of HVAC, refrigeration, ventilation and heating systems.
• Ability to diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults in HVAC equipment.
• Ability to read technical drawings, schematics and maintenance plans.
• Knowledge of HVAC preventive maintenance practices and safety procedures.
• Physically capable of lifting heavy equipment and working in demanding environments.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, troubleshoot and repair HVAC/R systems across the resort.
• Carry out scheduled preventive and corrective maintenance.
• Diagnose faults and perform repairs to minimise downtime.
• Conduct daily HVAC inspections and record readings.
• Clean, adjust and service HVAC systems for energy efficiency.
• Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests.
• Maintain accurate maintenance logs and reports.
