Job summary

NADIA is seeking an experienced HR Generalist in Abu Dhabi to manage day-to-day HR activities for a diverse, 100+ employee workforce. The role requires strong knowledge of UAE Labour Law and GCC practices, with independent ownership of HR matters and coordination with the international headquarters.

You will lead recruitment, onboarding, payroll support, and employee relations in a fast-paced multinational setting, traveling as needed to support global HR objectives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR or related field required.
• Strong hands-on HR Generalist experience within a multinational organization.
• Proven experience supporting 100+ employees.

Our client is a well-established multinational company operating from Abu Dhabi, with a multicultural workforce and an international operational environment. The organization works closely with its overseas headquarters and requires a hands-on HR professional who can independently manage day-to-day HR activities while ensuring alignment with local requirements and corporate standards.

Position Overview

The HR Generalist will be responsible for supporting and managing the full spectrum of HR activities for a workforce of 100+ employees. The role requires a practical, hands-on HR professional with strong knowledge of UAE Labour Law, awareness of employment regulations across the GCC, and previous experience working within a multinational organization.

The successful candidate should be comfortable working independently, taking ownership of HR matters, coordinating with headquarters, and supporting employees and management across different HR functions.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure HR practices and employee matters are handled in accordance with UAE Labour Law and company policies.
• Maintain good awareness of labour and employment practices across the GCC region.
• Manage the full recruitment cycle, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, offer coordination and hiring.
• Handle multiple vacancies simultaneously across different functions and levels.
• Coordinate employee onboarding, induction and related documentation.
• Support employer branding initiatives, including participation in university career fairs and recruitment events.
• Manage and coordinate practical payroll activities, ensuring employee information and payroll inputs are accurate and up to date.
• Support employee relations and general HR administration throughout the employee lifecycle.
• Maintain employee records and HR documentation accurately and confidentially.
• Coordinate and communicate regularly with the company's international headquarters on HR matters and reporting requirements.
• Provide HR guidance and operational support to employees and management.
• Work independently, take ownership of HR responsibilities and handle priorities with minimal day-to-day supervision.
• Support an international and multicultural workforce.
• Travel internationally when required for business purposes.

Candidate Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Management or a related discipline.
• A Western educational background would be an advantage, but is not mandatory.
• Strong hands-on HR Generalist experience, preferably gained within a multinational/international organization.
• Proven experience supporting or managing a workforce of 100+ employees.
• Strong working knowledge of UAE Labour Law.
• Awareness and understanding of GCC employment/labour practices.
• Strong regional recruitment experience with the ability to manage several vacancies simultaneously.
• Practical experience in payroll.
• Previous experience in employee onboarding and employer branding activities.
• Experience working with and reporting to an overseas/international headquarters.
• Excellent command of English.
• Comfortable working within a multicultural and international operational environment.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple HR responsibilities.
• Self-motivated and capable of operating independently without constant supervision.
• Must have no restrictions on international business travel, particularly within the GCC.
