Job description

A leading international law firm is looking to appoint an experienced Senior HR Business Partner to join its Middle East HR team on a 12-month fixed-term contract.

Based in Dubai, this is a senior, hands-on HR role partnering closely with Partners, senior leadership and key stakeholders across the region.

The successful candidate will operate at both astrategic and operational level, providing trusted HR advice while supporting the delivery of the firm’s wider people and talent strategy.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as a trusted HR advisor to Partners, senior leaders and key stakeholders across the business.
• Partner with leadership to develop and deliver people and talent priorities aligned with the wider business strategy.
• Provide guidance and coaching on complex employee relations, performance and people matters.
• Support talent management, succession planning, workforce planning and organisational development.
• Lead and support performance management and annual reward processes.
• Use people data, analytics and market insight to support effective decision-making.
• Support headcount planning, forecasting and broader workforce requirements.
• Identify and support the development of high-performing and high-potential talent.
• Partner with specialist HR teams across areas including Reward, Learning & Development and Early Careers.
• Support organisational change, restructuring and workforce transition initiatives where required.
• Contribute to employee engagement, inclusion, wellbeing and broader people-experience initiatives.
• Lead or contribute to regional and global HR projects.
• Ensure HR policies and processes are applied fairly and consistently while managing employment-related risk.

Candidate Profile

We are looking for an established Senior HR Business Partner with significant generalist HR experience and the credibility to work directly with senior stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Current or recent experience operating at Senior HRBP level.
• Previous experience within a law firm is highly desirable.
• Strong experience within professional services or another complex, highly professional environment.
• Experience working within an international and/or matrixed organisation.
• Strong stakeholder-management skills, with experience influencing senior leadership.
• Broad HR knowledge covering employee relations, performance, talent, reward, workforce planning and organisational development.
• Strong commercial awareness with the ability to interpret people data and identify business and people risks.
• Knowledge of UAE employment practices and relevant labour legislation.
• The ability to manage multiple priorities within a fast-paced and demanding environment.
• A recognised HR qualification would be advantageous.

The Assignment

This is a 12-month fixed-term contract and would suit an experienced HR professional who can quickly integrate into a sophisticated international environment and add value from the outset.

Given the nature of the assignment, candidates who are currently based in the UAE and available to start at relatively short notice will be strongly preferred.
