Job summary

AtkinsRéalis in Dubai, UAE, seeks an experienced HSEW Manager to lead health, safety and environmental management for road and infrastructure projects. You will ensure compliance with HSE policies, regulations, and ISO 45001 standards to achieve a zero-incident environment.

You will develop and maintain the HSE Management System, lead safety teams, conduct audits and risk assessments, investigate incidents, and coordinate with authorities, contractors, and stakeholders to promote a strong safety

Qualifications

• Minimum 10–15 years HSE experience in infrastructure projects.
• At least 5 years in a managerial role.
• NEBOSH Diploma/IGC, OSHA, ISO 45001 Lead Auditor preferred.
• Strong leadership, communication and risk-management skills.
• Experience with large-scale road and highway projects.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain the HSE Management System for projects.
• Lead safety teams across project zones and coordinate audits.
• Conduct risk assessments, hazard evaluations, and incident investigations.
• Ensure compliance with local regulations, OSHA, ISO 45001.
• Prepare monthly HSE dashboards and KPI reporting.

Overview

The HSEW Manager leads health, safety, and environmental management for road and infrastructure projects. The role ensures compliance with HSE policies, legal regulations, and international standards to achieve a zero-incident environment.

Your role

• Develop, implement, and maintain the project HSE Management System.
• Lead safety teams, inspectors, and officers across all project zones.
• Conduct HSE audits, inspections, hazard assessments, and risk evaluations.
• Approve risk assessments, method statements, and emergency response plans.
• Ensure compliance with local safety regulations, OSHA standards, ISO 45001, and environmental guidelines.
• Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis, and implement corrective/preventive actions.
• Conduct HSE orientation, training programs, and competency evaluations.
• Manage reporting of KPIs, safety statistics, and monthly HSE dashboards.
• Coordinate with authorities, consultants, contractors, and stakeholders for safety compliance.
• Promote a strong safety culture across the entire workforce.

About you

• Bachelor's'in Engineering, Safety, or Environmental Sciences.
• 10-15 years HSE experience in infrastructure projects, with at least 5 years managerial.
• NEBOSH Diploma/IGC, OSHA, ISO 45001 Lead Auditor certifications preferred.
• Strong leadership, communication, and risk-management skills.
• Experience with large-scale road and highway projects.
