Job Overview

HSEQ Safety Officer in Dubai, UAE will monitor and enforce health, safety, environmental and quality standards across terminal and logistics operations. This role ensures compliance with international ISO standards, supports safety management systems and promotes a proactive safety culture within a high-risk port and logistics environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor daily terminal safety standards and procedures to ensure smooth operational shifts
• Support implementation of Fatal Risk Standards and Safety Management Systems within port and logistics operations
• Assess compliance with ISO 45001, ISO 14001 and ISO 9001 standards
• Conduct routine fire and safety inspections to ensure full regulatory compliance
• Ensure HSE equipment including pollution control systems are tested and maintained for emergency readiness
• Provide safety guidance and coordinate safety training for new and existing personnel
• Maintain inspection databases and track corrective actions
• Coordinate with port authorities and local agencies including Civil Defense during emergencies
• Assist in accident and incident investigations to identify root causes and preventive measures
• Ensure Toolbox Talks (TBT) are conducted across departments to reinforce safety awareness
• Deploy and monitor HSEQ standards across operational areas
• Analyze HSEQ non-conformities and accidents and recommend corrective actions
• Conduct HSEQ induction sessions and ongoing training programs

Ideal Profile

• Experience in health, safety and environmental roles within port, logistics or industrial environments
• Knowledge of ISO 45001, ISO 14001 and ISO 9001 compliance requirements
• Understanding of safety management systems and risk mitigation strategies
• Experience conducting inspections, audits and incident investigations
• Strong documentation and reporting skills
• Ability to coordinate with regulatory authorities and emergency services
• Excellent communication and training facilitation skills
• High attention to detail and commitment to safety standards
