Job summary

Client of Pangea Talent Solutions is seeking an HSE Project Specialist to oversee health, safety and environmental compliance for generator systems in data centres. The role entails ensuring safe installation, testing and commissioning of large-scale generators, with collaboration across project teams, contractors and engineers to foster a safety-first culture.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years HSE experience in data centre, electrical, or industrial projects.
• NEBOSH General Certificate (or higher), IOSH Managing Safely.
• Experience supporting generator installation, testing, and commissioning within critical infrastructure.
• Strong knowledge of electrical safety, Permit-to-Work systems, and hazardous material handling related to generators.
• Excellent hazard identification, risk assessment, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with HSE standards during generator installation, commissioning and operation within data centres
• Conduct site inspections, safety audits and hazard assessments focusing on generator-related activities
• Support high-risk operations such as electrical tie-ins, fuel handling and system integration
• Investigate incidents related to generator systems and implement corrective actions
• Deliver safety briefings and coaching tailored to generator testing and commissioning activities
