Job summary

al-sahraa-recruitment-services-2 is seeking an experienced HSE Officer in Abu Dhabi to develop and implement health, safety and environment policies, conduct inspections and audits, investigate incidents, and deliver training for employees and contractors.

You will monitor HSE performance, coordinate emergency drills, liaise with government agencies, review project HSE plans and ensure compliance while promoting a culture of safety and environmental awareness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety or related field.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in construction.
• Strong knowledge of local and international OHS regulations and standards.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• NEBOSH certification preferred.
• Fluent in English, both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement HSE policies and procedures in line with local and international regulations.
• Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and risks.
• Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses and provide recommendations for prevention.
• Develop and deliver HSE training programs for employees and contractors.
• Monitor and report on HSE performance and provide recommendations for improvement.
• Conduct emergency response drills and ensure emergency response plans are up to date.
• Liaise with government agencies and other stakeholders to ensure compliance with HSE regulations.
• Review and approve HSE plans for new projects and ensure HSE requirements are met during project execution.
• Provide support and guidance to managers and employees on HSE matters.
• Participate in HSE committees and meetings to promote a culture of safety and environmental awareness
