Job summary

Zarco is seeking a seasoned HSE professional to support the Project HSE Plan in Abu Dhabi. The role involves conducting site inspections, delivering inductions, and coordinating safety training to uphold Zero Harm standards across construction and marine projects.

The ideal candidate holds a NEBOSH IGC and 3–5 years of HSE experience, with strong English communication and familiarity with OSHAD and AD Ports procedures. Proficiency in MS Office is required.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of HSE experience in construction, infrastructure, or marine projects.
• NEBOSH IGC or equivalent qualification.
• Knowledge of UAE HSE regulations, OSHAD requirements, and AD Ports HSE procedures.
• Strong communication in English; Arabic is an advantage.
• Experience with Risk Assessments, JSA, Method Statements, PTW, and incident reporting.

Responsibilities

• Support the HSE Manager in implementing the Project HSE Plan.
• Conduct routine site inspections and report unsafe acts and conditions.
• Deliver HSE inductions, toolbox talks, and safety awareness sessions.
• Monitor compliance with project HSE requirements, PPE usage, and Permit-to-Work procedures.
• Assist in preparing Risk Assessments, Method Statements, and JSA reviews.
• Report and investigate incidents, near misses, and environmental events.
• Maintain HSE records, inspection reports, training records, and safety statistics.
• Coordinate emergency drills and support environmental compliance activities.
• Ensure subcontractors comply with project HSE requirements.
• Promote a positive safety culture and support the project's Zero Harm objectives.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• NEBOSH International General Certificate (IGC) or equivalent recognized HSE qualification.
• Minimum 3–5 years of HSE experience in construction, infrastructure, or marine projects.
• Knowledge of UAE HSE regulations, OSHAD requirements, and AD Ports HSE procedures.
• Familiar with Risk Assessments (RA), Job Safety Analysis (JSA), Method Statements, Permit to Work (PTW), and incident reporting.
• Experience conducting site inspections, toolbox talks, HSE inductions, and safety training.
• Ability to investigate incidents and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
• Good understanding of environmental protection, waste management, and emergency response procedures.
• Good communication skills in English (spoken and written); Arabic is an advantage.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and HSE reporting.
