Job summary

Confidential Company in the UAE seeks a Safety Manager to develop and maintain Health, Safety and Environment policies across a tissue paper manufacturing facility. The role focuses on regulatory compliance, risk control, and promoting a strong safety culture in production, maintenance, warehousing, and support functions.

The ideal candidate will lead HSE programs, conduct inspections, manage incident investigations, and drive continuous improvements in line with NEBOSH IGC and ISO 45001/14001

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related discipline.
• Minimum 5–8 years of relevant HSE experience in manufacturing or industrial environments.
• NEBOSH IGC or equivalent qualification is required; NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent is an advantage.
• Knowledge of UAE HSE regulations, Civil Defence requirements, and applicable environmental standards.
• Experience with risk assessments, incident investigation, emergency planning, and safety audits.
• ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 implementation or auditing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and review HSE policies and safety management systems.
• Ensure compliance with UAE labour and environmental regulations.
• Conduct regular inspections, risk assessments, and hazard identification.
• Establish and monitor HSE objectives, KPIs, corrective actions, and preventive measures.
• Coordinate fire safety, emergency drills, and liaison with authorities.
• Maintain HSE records, audits, and training registers.
