Job summary

At Meliá Desert Palm in Dubai, we seek an HR & Training Executive to lead recruitment, learning and development, employee activities and HR reporting. As second-in-command to the HR Manager, you will support daily HR operations, help colleagues grow and create a positive workplace experience.

The role focuses on end-to-end recruitment, onboarding, training calendar delivery and maintaining UAE Labour Law compliance, with strong collaboration across departments in a luxury hospitality setting.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of HR experience focusing on recruitment and learning & development, preferably in luxury hospitality.
• Experience delivering training and coordinating employee engagement activities, with confident facilitation and presentation skills.
• Sound knowledge of UAE Labour Law, MOHRE processes, visa and onboarding requirements.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end recruitment, including sourcing, screening, interviews, offers and pre-employment checks.
• Partner with Heads of Department to meet staffing needs within approved headcount and budgets, and build talent pipelines.
• Coordinate pre-arrival arrangements and onboarding, ensuring new colleagues have a welcoming start.
• Identify training needs and plan, coordinate and deliver the annual training calendar in line with departmental priorities and brand standards.
• Deliver induction programmes, support departmental trainers and coordinate mandatory training, tracking participation and effectiveness.
• Support cross-training, career development and internal promotion opportunities.
• Organise employee activities, recognition programmes and wellbeing initiatives, and support engagement action plans.
• Prepare monthly HR reports covering headcount, recruitment, turnover, training and employee activities.
