Job summary

Amazon Web Services EMEA Dubai FZ Branch seeks an experienced HR Partner for the Builder Experience Team. You will influence inclusion, coach leaders, and implement HR strategies across talent, performance, and employee relations in a fast-moving environment.

Lead complex investigations, advise executives, and partner with multiple levels of the organization to deliver empathetic, comprehensive HR support for AWS Builders and managers across regions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field.
  • 5+ years of human resources experience.
  • Fluent in Arabic (speaking, reading, and writing).

Responsibilities

  • Consult, coach, and develop leadership with empathy and sound judgement; manage talent, performance, compensation and employee relations.
  • Foster an inclusive environment for all Builders and HR Partners.
  • Advocate for Builders’ needs through end-to-end experiences and build trust with stakeholders.
  • Escalate and support Builder concerns, navigate policies, and contribute to HR strategy implementation.
  • Lead complex workplace investigations and drive continuous improvement across HR processes.

The HR Partner role in our Builder Experience Team (BeXT) focuses on the Builder experience.

You can expect to do the following in your day to day:

  • Influence change and foster an environment of inclusion for our Builders and other HR PartnersAdvanced problem solving and influencing in diverse populations
  • Working in a fast-paced and complex changing environment driven by continuous innovationApplication of HR fundamentals
  • Partnering with leaders at multiple levels of the organization to develop forward looking strategies - Serve as an escalation point and mentor teammates by role modeling Amazon’s Leadership Principles

BeXT delivers personalized people-support to AWS Builders to amplify the voice of the Builder. In this role, you will collaborate with AWS business leaders and other HR teams to innovate, implement, and deploy HR strategies from talent and performance management, compensation, employee relations and other HR functions. In addition, you will provide support to our Builders and their leaders aligned to an AWS business line or region, calling on HR expertise and empathy.

To thrive, you will need a flexible skill set, including the ability to prioritize work in a high-volume environment and autonomously pivot through various scenarios utilizing HR expertise, highly effective consulting skills, as well as the ability to connect to the bigger picture while diving deep into the details and collaborate and influence across many teams, levels, and regions.

Key job responsibilities

As a BeXT HR Partner, no two days look the same, but a typical day will most likely include the following responsibilities:

  • Consult, coach, and develop leadership through decision making with empathy and high judgement; collaborating and actioning on talent management processes, people development and performance management, compensation, and employee relations issues.
  • Foster and role model an environment of inclusion for all Builders.
  • Advocate for Builders’ needs through end-to-end experiences that help Builders feel fully engaged in the work they do and valued for who they are.
  • Exercise high-judgement, manage through ambiguity and serve as first point of escalation for other HR teammates and Builder concerns.
  • Support Builder queries and situations with discretion and expertise, navigating Amazon Policies and applying high judgement as necessary.
  • Actively promote adoption of technology and self-service.
  • Collaborate and influence multiple levels of the organization, ranging from Builders, senior leaders, and other HR professionals.
  • Conduct complex workplace investigations with significant autonomy.
  • Understand business goals as well as design and implement new approaches or procedures to effect continual improvements both in the business and on the HR team.
Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or above in Human Resources, Human Resources Management, Labor Relations, Business/Management, Psychology, or a related field
  • 5+ years of human resources experience
  • Speak, write, and read fluently in Arabic
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working in a matrixed organization
  • Experience in advising and influencing executive leadership
  • Strong business and HR acumen, including strong problem-solving skills, critical thinking and analysis, experience consulting on complex performance management cases Employee Relations/Investigations experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; effective communication with the ability to build relationships and influence across a wide set of process partners and business stakeholders
  • Possess conviction and tenacity, and excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Thrives in a high-pressure, high-volume, ambiguous environment and able to manage multiple simultaneous priorities
  • Intellectual curiosity; brings insight to team and business
  • Ability to demonstrate high-judgement, empathy, autonomy, and flexibility
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality regarding employee issues in Human Resources
  • Experience coaching, mentoring, and influencing other HR professionals through informal leadership
