Job summary

Target Engineering Construction Co LLC in Abu Dhabi is seeking a highly organized HR Onboarding Officer to join our HR team. The role focuses on delivering a seamless onboarding experience for new employees from day one through probation.

Qualifications

• 4–6 years in HR Operations.
• Minimum 2 years in onboarding or recruitment coordination.
• Experience in Oil & Gas / EPC, Construction or Industrial sectors is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate end-to-end onboarding for all new employees.
• Conduct orientation and induction programs.
• Ensure completion of pre-employment docs and onboarding paperwork.
• Liaise with HR, IT, Admin, Payroll, and Project teams for readiness.
• Arrange IT equipment, system access, email, IDs, and site access.
• Track mandatory trainings and compliance for onboarding.
• Serve as point of contact during onboarding and probation.
• Conduct regular check-ins and maintain accurate records.
• Escalate onboarding issues to stakeholders for timely resolution.
• Coordinate probation review schedules and feedback collection.
• Support continuous improvements to onboarding processes.

This role is critical in delivering a seamless onboarding experience for new employees, ensuring they are fully integrated, compliant, and equipped for success from their first day through the completion of their probation period.

YOUR ROLE

As HR Onboarding Officer, you will

• Coordinate and manage the end-to-end onboarding process for all new employees.
• Conduct employee orientation and company induction programs.
• Ensure completion of all pre-employment and onboarding documentation.
• Liaise with HR, IT, Administration, Payroll, and Project teams to ensure employee readiness prior to joining.
• Arrange IT equipment, system access, email accounts, ID cards, and office/worksite requirements.
• Monitor and track completion of mandatory trainings, certifications, compliance requirements, and onboarding documentation.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for new hires during their onboarding and probation periods.
• Conduct regular check-ins with new employees and line managers to support successful integration and performance.
• Maintain onboarding trackers and employee records, ensuring accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance.
• Identify and escalation onboarding issues or delays to the relevant stakeholders for timely resolution.
• Prepare probation review schedules and coordinate feedback collection from managers.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives related to onboarding processes and employee experience.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

Experience

• Must have 4-6 years of experience in HR Operations.
• Minimum 2 years of specialized experience in employee onboarding, recruitment coordination, or related HR functions.
• Previous experience within the Oil & Gas, EPC, Construction, Engineering, or Industrial sectors is highly preferred.

Education and Certifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Professional HR certifications (such as CIPD, SHRM, PHR, CHRM, or equivalent) are highly preferred.

Skills and Competencies

• Strong knowledge of onboarding processes, HR operations, and employee lifecycle management.
• Experience working with HRIS platforms, recruitment systems, and employee data management tools.
• Understanding of compliance requirements, documentation management, and HR best practices.
• Excellent command of the English language, both written and verbal.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills with the ability to manage multiple onboarding activities simultaneously.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• High attention to detail and commitment to process accuracy and compliance.
• Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.
• Must be fluent in Hindi
