Job summary

The Housekeeping Supervisor role at a luxury resort in Sharjah is to lead daily housekeeping operations, ensuring 5‑star standards and presentation. You will supervise staff, assign duties, inspect work, and support the Housekeeping Manager to maintain service excellence and operational efficiency.

Ideal candidates have 5–7 years in hospitality, a Diploma or Degree in Hotel Management, and strong English communication; Arabic is a plus.

Qualifications

• EU and UK Passport preferred.

Responsibilities

• Establish and implement housekeeping standards and procedures for staff.
• Assign daily tasks and inspect work to ensure cleanliness standards are met across all areas.
• Conduct orientation and ongoing training for housekeeping staff on procedures and equipment use.
• Monitor and maintain adequate stock levels of cleaning supplies and equipment.
• Issue supplies and equipment to staff as required.
• Request and manage materials for various locations on a timely basis.
• Maintain accurate records of work assignments, staffing, and related documentation.
• Prepare periodic operational reports for management.
• Schedule shifts and arrange replacements for staff absences.
• Recommend improvements to enhance service quality and operational efficiency.
• Motivate and support team members, resolving day-to-day operational issues.
• Oversee daily snagging and ensure timely resolution of maintenance issues.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene standards.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the Housekeeping Manager

PURPOSE
The Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily housekeeping operations within the luxury resort, ensuring all assigned areas are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation. The role includes supervising housekeeping staff, assigning duties, inspecting work, and supporting the Housekeeping Manager in maintaining operational efficiency and service excellence. The ideal candidate must have hands‑on experience delivering white‑glove, discreet, and detail‑driven housekeeping service, with a strong understanding of protocol, etiquette, and high‑net‑worth individual expectations.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Hotel Management or related field
• EU and UK Passport preferred

Experience

• 5–7 years’ experience in the hospitality industry
• Minimum 3 years in a similar supervisory housekeeping role within luxury hotels or resorts

Skills And Competencies

• Strong communication skills in English (Arabic is an advantage)
• Experience working in structured luxury service hierarchies
• Ability to maintain 5 star plus -level presentation standards at all times
• Strong familiarity with VVIP guest expectations and confidentiality
• High attention to detail and proactive service mindset
• Ability to manage housekeeping teams in a high‑pressure, high‑standard environment
