Job summary

Tanqeeb in Abu Dhabi is seeking a dedicated Room Attendant to maintain high standards of cleanliness in guest rooms and public areas. The role involves making beds, replenishing amenities, reporting issues, and ensuring guest privacy.

The successful candidate will have prior housekeeping experience, physical stamina, and a customer-focused attitude, with flexibility to work shifts including weekends and holidays. English communication is sufficient, with additional languages a plus.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Room Attendant or in hotel housekeeping preferred.
• Knowledge of basic cleaning procedures and housekeeping standards.
• Good attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Physically fit and able to stand, bend, lift, and move for extended periods.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Professional, reliable, punctual, and guest-focused attitude.
• Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
• Basic English communication skills; additional languages are an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain guest rooms, bathrooms, corridors, and assigned areas according to hotel standards.
• Make beds, change bed linen, replace towels, and replenish guest amenities.
• Dust, vacuum, mop, and sanitize all required surfaces and areas.
• Check guest rooms for cleanliness, maintenance issues, and missing or damaged items.
• Report maintenance defects, lost and found items, and any unusual incidents to the supervisor.
• Ensure all cleaning equipment and supplies are used correctly and stored properly.
• Follow hotel policies, hygiene standards, health and safety procedures, and chemical-handling guidelines.
• Respect guest privacy and follow procedures regarding Do Not Disturb rooms.
• Respond politely and professionally to guest requests and provide assistance when required.
• Maintain cleanliness of housekeeping trolleys, storage areas, and workspaces.
• Coordinate with the Housekeeping Supervisor and other departments when necessary.
• Complete assigned rooms within the required time while maintaining high-quality standards.
• Handle guest belongings and hotel property with care and integrity.
