Job summary

Desert Islands Resort & Spa by Anantara, part of Minor International, seeks a dedicated housekeeping professional to maintain guest rooms and public areas to high standards. You will replenish amenities, handle guest requests, and ensure safety and hygiene across shifts.

Ideal candidates are detail-oriented, physically fit, and capable of working weekends/holidays. The role involves coordinating with the Housekeeping team to ensure seamless daily operations in a luxury resort setting.

Qualifications

• Experience in housekeeping or similar hotel role is advantageous.
• Strong cleanliness and hygiene standards expected.
• Attention to detail and responsibility are essential.
• Good communication and teamwork abilities.
• Service-minded and guest-focused.
• Physically capable of extended housekeeping duties.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain guest rooms, bathrooms, corridors, and assigned areas to hotel standards.
• Make beds, change linens, replace towels, replenish amenities and supplies.
• Ensure rooms are clean, organized, and ready before guest arrivals.
• Maintain hygiene standards per hotel procedures and brand guidelines.
• Report maintenance issues or damages in guest rooms to the relevant dept.
• Handle guest belongings with care and follow lost-and-found procedures.
• Provide courteous and professional service and respond to guest requests promptly.
• Use cleaning equipment, chemicals, and supplies safely and correctly.
• Coordinate with Housekeeping Supervisor and other departments to ensure smooth daily operations.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor or management.

Key Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain guest rooms, bathrooms, corridors, and assigned areas according to hotel standards.
• Make beds, change bed linens, replace towels, and replenish guest amenities and supplies.
• Ensure guest rooms are properly cleaned, organized, and presented before guest arrival.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in accordance with hotel procedures and brand standards.
• Report any maintenance issues, damaged items, or unusual conditions in guest rooms to the relevant department.
• Handle guest belongings with care and follow the hotel’s lost and found procedures.
• Respond to guest requests promptly and provide courteous and professional service at all times.
• Use cleaning equipment, chemicals, and supplies safely and correctly.
• Maintain proper housekeeping equipment and ensure all supplies are stored appropriately.
• Follow hotel policies and procedures related to safety, hygiene, security, and environmental sustainability.
• Coordinate with the Housekeeping Supervisor and other departments to ensure smooth daily operations.
• Perform any other duties and responsibilities assigned by the supervisor or management.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in housekeeping or a similar position in a hotel is an advantage.
• Good understanding of cleanliness and hygiene standards.
• Attention to detail and a strong sense of responsibility.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Service-minded, friendly, and willing to assist guests.
• Physically fit and able to perform housekeeping duties for extended periods.
• Able to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays.
