Job summary

Holiday Inn Abu Dhabi, part of IHG Hotels & Resorts, seeks a General Technician to keep guest rooms, public areas and back-of-house facilities safe and well maintained. You’ll perform routine repairs, respond to maintenance requests promptly, and follow preventative maintenance schedules while collaborating with the Engineering team.

A high school diploma or technical training with basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry and painting skills will help you deliver reliable service in a hospitality

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting and general maintenance.
• Safe operation of common hand and power tools.
• Follows scheduled preventative maintenance tasks.
• Adheres to safety regulations and local requirements.
• Willing to work shifts, weekends and public holidays.

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine repairs and preventative maintenance across guest areas and back-of-house facilities.
• Attend to maintenance requests promptly and ensure repairs are completed safely and to a good standard.
• Perform basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting and general maintenance tasks.
• Inspect equipment, identify faults and report major issues to supervisor.
• Follow the preventative maintenance schedule and keep accurate records.
