Job summary

Hyde Hotels is seeking an HVAC Technician to manage shift maintenance, troubleshoot FCUs/AHUs/FAHUs, and ensure guest comfort across rooms and public areas. You will read schematics, address faults, and coordinate with the team to minimize disruption.

Strong English skills and prior hotel or large facility experience are required; the role involves responding to emergencies and performing preventive maintenance in a fast-paced hotel environment in Abu Dhabi.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of HVAC maintenance experience; hotel engineering or complex facility background preferred.
• Clear spoken and written English.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities; proactive and solution-oriented.
• Able to read and interpret HVAC drawings, schematics and control diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Report to the Duty Engineer and take ownership of shift HVAC maintenance; handle work orders and incidents.
• Troubleshoot FCUs, AHUs, FAHUs, ventilation and chilled-water systems.
• Respond to guest room, public area and back-of-house HVAC requests; restore systems with minimal disruption.
• Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance; keep maintenance records updated.
• Attend emergencies and communicate professionally with guests and hotel colleagues.
