Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

• Consistently offer a professional, friendly greeting and engaging service
• Understand the Server’s tasks in the outlet
• Understand shift end reports in the outlet and the POS system
• Assist guests regarding food and beverage menu items in an informative and helpful way
• Have knowledge of all menu items, garnishes, contents and preparation methods
• Follow outlet policies, procedures and service standards
• Follow all safety and sanitation policies when handling food and beverage
• Present a positive first impression of the establishment’s friendliness, excellent service and high standards.
• Greet guests upon arrival, inform guests of their wait time, monitor a waiting list, enter names into the computer system, and show guests to their table and bid them farewell as they leave
• Inform guest aboutcurrent promotion and who will be serving them to ensure a smooth handoff to the service staff
• Answer incoming calls to the restaurant and provide appropriate service
• Issue dining charges by verifying orders; calculating taxes; totaling bill for to-go orders and to receive payments by validating credit charges; approving checks; accepting currency.
• Handling guest reservation details from the reservation system, table allocation, dietary requirements, billing
