Job summary

Madinat Jumeirah Resort is seeking a Hostess to join the team from September 2026. You will greet guests, manage dining reservations, and ensure a seamless seating experience in a luxury setting.

Ideal candidates have 1–2 years in guest service at a 5-star hotel, strong MS Office skills, and familiarity with Opera Cloud. The role offers a premium hospitality environment with opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Diploma/Degree in Hospitality Industry.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office and Opera (Cloud).
• Experience in a multi-cultural environment.
• 1-2 years of experience in guest service-related work in a 5-star hotel.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and engage in friendly conversation to make them feel welcome upon arrival.
• Schedule dining reservations and coordinate special occasions following SOP.
• Handle restaurant enquiries and bookings using the F&B Enquiry/Booking checklist.
• Escort guests to tables, share names with staff, and present menus promptly.
• Describe Chef specials and recommend food and beverage pairings.
• Provide personalized attention to VIP guests and residents, noting preferences and privacy needs.
• Anticipate guest needs and deliver service that exceeds expectations while upholding Heart of Jumeirah standards.
• Follow confidentiality protocols to maintain guest privacy.

About the Job

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Hostess tojoin Madinat Jumeirah Resort from September 2026 onwards.

The main duties and responsibilities of this role include:

• Greet guests warmly and engage in friendly conversation to ensure they feel comfortable and welcome upon arrival.
• Schedule dining reservations and coordinate special services or occasions such as anniversaries and birthdays, following Restaurant Reservations SOP.
• Use the F&B Enquiry/Booking checklist to handle restaurant enquiries and bookings efficiently, maintaining high standards.
• Escort guests to their tables, share names with relevant staff, match the dining pace, and present menus promptly after seating.
• Familiarize with the menu and signature dishes to answer guest queries, describe Chef specials, and recommend food and beverage pairings.
• Provide personalized attention to VIP and regular guests/residents, maintaining knowledge of their preferences, allergies, seating choices, and privacy needs.
• Anticipate and fulfill guest needs accurately, including those with special requirements, delivering service that exceeds expectations while adhering to Heart of Jumeirah standards.
• Follow strict confidentiality protocols to maintain the privacy and confidentiality of all guests.

About You

The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:

• Diploma/Degree in Hospitality Industry
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office products and Opera (Cloud).
• Experience working in a multi-cultural environment.
• 1-2 years of experience in guest service-related work in a 5-star hotel
