Job summary

SO/ Uptown Dubai, located on First Al Khail Street in Dubai, seeks a Senior Hostess to lead front‑of‑house with warmth and expertise. You will be the first contact for guests, directing reservations, seating flow, and staff coaching to ensure an exceptional dining experience.

In this role you’ll mentor junior team members, manage guest relations, and collaborate with servers and kitchen staff to maintain service excellence.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years of experience as a Hostess or in a similar front-of-house hospitality role.
• Proven supervisory or lead experience with the ability to train and motivate team members.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-focused mindset.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency with POS systems and reservation management software.
• Excellent problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
• Professional demeanor with a friendly and empathetic approach to guest interactions.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Fluency in English; multilingual abilities (Arabic, French, or other languages) are highly desirable.
• Knowledge of hospitality industry standards and best practices.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
