Job summary

Hilton Dubai is seeking a Chief Engineer / Maintenance Manager to lead and oversee the property’s building systems, HVAC, and life-safety operations. The role focuses on safety, reliability, and energy efficiency while guiding a high‑performing maintenance team in a luxury hospitality environment.

The ideal candidate will drive capital projects, manage day‑to‑day maintenance, and ensure regulatory compliance, aiming to deliver exceptional guest experiences through well‑maintained facilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a high-performing team: recruit, train, supervise, and mentor team members; conduct performance evaluations and recognise achievements.
• Ensure safety and compliance: oversee maintenance of building, mechanical, electrical, HVAC and life safety systems; coordinate inspections; uphold safety standards.
• Manage daily maintenance operations: oversee activities, prioritise tasks, verify completion in the maintenance system, resolve service requests and guest concerns.
• Support property improvement projects: direct capital projects, budgeting, contractor bidding, licensing and permitting; ensure regulatory compliance.
• Lead energy efficiency initiatives: develop and oversee energy conservation programs to reduce utility costs.
• Drive engineering performance: monitor KPIs, equipment upkeep, audit results, team productivity; act to improve performance.
• Support hotel-wide operational leadership: collaborate with leadership on evacuation procedures and safety protocols as needed.
