Job summary

NMC in Abu Dhabi seeks a Storekeeper to oversee ordering, receiving, inspecting, storing and issuing hospital supplies. You will supervise store staff, maintain accurate stock, and coordinate with doctors and vendors to ensure timely availability of materials.

The role requires B.Com. with storeroom supervision experience, strong English, and computer literacy. Knowledge of inventory systems and cost-conscious purchasing is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Commerce with storeroom supervision experience preferred.
• Ability to perform essential job functions as described.
• Good English; Arabic language advantageous but not essential.
• Training in Store Management (ISO 9000, imports/exports) advantageous.
• Computer literate.

Responsibilities

• Oversees ordering, receiving, inspecting, storing and issuing hospital equipment and supplies.
• Supervises store staff and coordinates department activities.
• Maintains stock accuracy using department computer system.
• Researches cost and availability; selects goods within budget guidelines.
• Inspects deliveries for weight, count and condition; resolves issues with vendors.
• Manages inventory, stock rotation and expiry control.
• Prepares MRN or purchase orders for medical and non-medical items.
• Coordinates with doctors/technicians for consignments and monthly verification.
• Performs monthly/weekly stock verification and redistribution as needed.
• Monitors storeroom budget and reconciles accounts; supports billing.
• Oversees annual or semi-annual stock takes and notices near-expiry items.
