Job summary

New Century Education is seeking a Homeroom Teacher who is immediately available for placements across Abu Dhabi and Al Ain for Term 2 of the 2026–2027 academic year.

You will teach and guide students, design engaging lesson plans, and monitor progress toward learning standards in a supportive classroom. The role emphasizes collaboration with staff, comprehensive reporting to parents, and active participation in school initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (QFE Level 7) in Elementary Education / Early Years Education, attested and UAE-equivalency certified.
• A recognized teaching qualification such as a Teaching diploma, PGCE, QTS or equivalent licensure.
• IELTS band 7 for non-native speakers.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and deepen subject expertise.
• Develop lesson plans aligned with standards and grade-specific requirements.
• Coordinate plans with colleagues to reinforce learning across topics.
• Deliver direct and indirect instruction and assess student progress.
• Plan long and short term to address individual student needs.
• Prepare students for required assessments and provide quarterly progress reports to parents.
• Create an inviting, innovative learning environment and manage the classroom effectively.
• Incorporate feedback from administration and serve as advisor for students.
• Support ADEK National Identity initiatives and participate in school activities.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Principal.

Job description

This role is open for Homeroom Teacher candidates who are IMMEDIATELY available. Placements are in charter schools across Abu Dhabi and Al Ain for Term 2 of 2026–2027 academic year.

Job Purpose

To teach and educate students according to the educational needs, abilities and attainment potential of individual students entrusted to his/her care. To encourage each student to reach their academic potential through enthusiastic and personalised teaching.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and enrich their expertise in the subject area they will teach.
• Develop lesson plans that ensure the attainment of learning standards and the additional specific grade-by-grade learning standards set forth.
• Coordinate lesson plans with other teachers to maximize possibilities for teaching similar topics in the same general time frame, thus reinforcing student knowledge on an interdisciplinary basis.
• Provide direct and indirect instruction.
• Long and short-term planning addressing individual needs of students.
• Prepare students adequately for all required assessments.
• Prepare at least quarterly individual student achievement reports for parents.
• Provide an inviting, exciting, innovative, learning environment.
• Engage in effective and appropriate classroom management.
• Accept and incorporate feedback and coaching from administrative staff.
• Serve as an advisor to a students, including organising advisory groups, overseeing the academic and behavioural progress.
• Supports with implementing the ADEK National Identity initiative.
• Perform other duties, as deemed appropriate, by the Principal.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (QFE Level 7) in Elementary Education / Early Years Education or a related field—properly attested and UAE-equivalency certified.
• A recognized teaching qualification—such as a Teaching diploma, PGCE, Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), or equivalent licensure from your home country.
• Valid IELTS band 7 for non-native speakers.

Experience

• Minimum 2 years teaching experience as a Classroom / Homeroom Teacher.
