Job summary

New Century Education is seeking experienced English teachers for Cycle 2-3/Secondary. The role focuses on delivering engaging, personalised instruction and supporting students to reach their academic goals.

Immediate joining preferred, with ongoing collaboration across the school for interdisciplinary learning. Qualified candidates hold a Bachelor’s degree with UAE equivalency, a recognized teaching credential, and IELTS 7 if non-native.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and UAE equivalency certification.
• Teaching qualification such as Diploma/PGCE/QTS or equivalent licensure.
• IELTS 7 required for non-native English speakers.

Responsibilities

• Teach and educate students in English according to individual needs and potential.
• Develop lesson plans to meet learning standards and grade-by-grade objectives.
• Coordinate lesson plans with other teachers to reinforce topics across subjects.
• Provide direct and indirect instruction and long- and short-term planning.
• Prepare students for assessments and quarterly achievement reports for parents.
• Create an inviting, innovative learning environment and manage the classroom effectively.
• Act as advisor to students, organize advisory groups, track academic and behavioral progress.

Education

Bachelor’s degree (QFE Level 7) in Computing/Information Technology or related

Job description

Job Purpose

To teach and educate students in English according to their individual educational needs, abilities, and potential. To inspire and support each student in reaching their academic goals through engaging, personalised, and forward-thinking instruction.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and enrich their expertise in the subject area they will teach.
• Develop lesson plans that ensure the attainment of learning standards and the additional specific grade-by-grade learning standards set forth.
• Coordinate lesson plans with other teachers to maximize possibilities for teaching similar topics in the same general time frame, thus reinforcing student knowledge on an interdisciplinary basis.
• Provide direct and indirect instruction.
• Long and short-term planning addressing individual needs of students.
• Prepare students adequately for all required assessments.
• Prepare at least quarterly individual student achievement reports for parents.
• Provide an inviting, exciting, innovative, learning environment.
• Engage in effective and appropriate classroom management.
• Accept and incorporate feedback and coaching from administrative staff.
• Serve as an advisor to a students, including organizing advisory groups, overseeing the academic and behavioural progress.
• Supports with implementing the ADEK National Identity initiative.
• Perform other duties, as deemed appropriate, by the Principal.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (QFE Level 7) in Computing, Information Tecnnology or a related field - properly attested and UAE-equivalency certified.
• A recognized teaching qualification - such as a Teaching Diploma, PGCE, Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), or equivalent licensure from your home country.
• For non-native English speakers - a valid IELTS of 7.
• Preference will be given to candidates available to join for Academic Year 2026.

Experience

• Secondary or Cycle 2 teaching experience is a must.
• Minimum 2 years teaching experience as a Teacher.
