Job summary

New Century Education in Abu Dhabi and Al Ain seeks a Math Teacher for Cycle 1–3 placements in charter schools for the 2026–2027 academic year. The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Math with UAE equivalency and a recognized teaching qualification such as a Diploma, PGCE, QTS, or equivalent licensure.

IELTS band 6 for non-native speakers is required, with a minimum of 2 years of Math teaching experience.

• Prepare students for required assessments and reports.
• Prepare quarterly student achievement reports for parents.
• Create an inviting, innovative learning environment.
• Serve as advisor and support students’ academic and behavioural progress.
• Support ADEK National Identity initiative.
• Perform other duties as deemed by the Principal.

Job description

This role is open for Cycle 1, Cycle 2, and Cycle 3 placements in charter schools across Abu Dhabi and Al Ain for the 2026–2027 academic year.

Job Purpose

To teach and educate students according to the educational needs, abilities and attainment potential of individual students entrusted to his/her care. To encourage each student to reach their academic potential through enthusiastic and personalised teaching.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and enrich their expertise in the subject area they will teach.
• Develop lesson plans that ensure the attainment of learning standards and the additional specific grade-by-grade learning standards set forth.
• Coordinate lesson plans with other teachers to maximize possibilities for teaching similar topics in the same general time frame, thus reinforcing student knowledge on an interdisciplinary basis.
• Provide direct and indirect instruction.
• Long and short-term planning addressing individual needs of students.
• Prepare students adequately for all required assessments.
• Prepare at least quarterly individual student achievement reports for parents.
• Provide an inviting, exciting, innovative, learning environment.
• Engage in effective and appropriate classroom management.
• Accept and incorporate feedback and coaching from administrative staff.
• Serve as an advisor to a students, including organizing advisory groups, overseeing the academic and behavioural progress.
• Supports with implementing the ADEK National Identity initiative.
• Perform other duties, as deemed appropriate, by the Principal.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (QFE Level 7) in Math or a related field—properly attested and UAE-equivalency certified.
• A recognized teaching qualification—such as a Teaching diploma, PGCE, Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), or equivalent licensure from your home country.
• Valid IELTS band 6 for non-native speakers.

Experience

• Minimum 2 years teaching experience as an Math Teacher.
