Job summary

Client of Brunel is seeking a Heavy Lift Crane Operator for an offshore role in Dubai. You will operate and maintain heavy lift cranes, lead deck crews, and mentor roustabouts to ensure safe lifting operations.

You will serve as Helicopter Landing Officer (HLO) during helicopter operations, uphold HSE standards, and participate in ongoing training to meet regulatory requirements and company procedures.

Qualifications

• Must hold Stage III Crane Operator certificate/license.
• Completion of GCAA approved HLO training and eVision control of work.
• Minimum 3 years' offshore experience or equivalent.
• Employees must read, understand, and comply with Company's Information Security Policies, Standards, and Procedures.
• Good safety record from past operations.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain heavy lift cranes safely and efficiently.
• Lead and mentor deck crews including roustabouts.
• Act as Helicopter Landing Officer (HLO) for helicopter operations.
• Ensure compliance with HSEOI management system and safety standards.
• Coordinate lifting operations and movement of equipment across the vessel.

Job description

We are supporting our client a leading organization in the oil and gas sector in recruiting a skilled Heavy Lift Crane Operator to join our client s team in Dubai This is a permanent position where you will be responsible for the safe efficient operation and daily maintenance of heavy lift cranes while also leading and mentoring deck crews in a demanding offshore environment.

Key Responsibilities

• The Heavy Lift Crane Operator is responsible for the daily operation and maintenance of the cranes and in addition to this manages the Roustabouts Supervises that all the activities are carried out in accordance with the Chief Officer and delivers essential on the job crew training within lifting and slinging.
• Furthermore the Heavy Lift Crane Operator functions as the Helicopter Landing Officer (HLO) in connection with helicopter operations.
• Responsible for the safe and efficient operation and general maintenance of the various cranes located on the vessel.
• Responsible for safety and efficiently lifting and moving relocating equipment containers pipe systems groceries and various materials and supplies utilized in the operations and daily functions of the vessel.
• This includes offloading and back-loading of personnel equipment and supplies etc from water vessels as well as moving heavy or bulky materials throughout the vessel.
• Responsible for the safe and efficient work of the roustabouts as well as for the supervision and training of the roustabouts who provide the maintenance on the vessel.
• Maintain good two-way communication with crew members.
• Participate in the development of newly appointed team members.
• Participate in company approved and recommended training as required both on and offshore.
• Regulatory compliance related to function.
• Assist team in maintenance of equipment as required.
• Ensure safe and efficient operations on equipment.
• Ensure compliance with the Company s Health Safety Environment and Operational Integrity HSEOI Management System.

Requirements

• Must have Stage III Crane Operator certificate / license.
• Completion of training requirements for the position as per Company training matrix including General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) approved HLO-training and eVision control of work.
• Minimum 3 years' experience offshore or equivalent industry experience.
• Employees shall read, understand, and comply with Company's Information Security Policies, Standards, and Procedures.
• Employees shall promptly report any suspected or actual information security incidents to their respective line manager or the IT department.
• Employees shall protect the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of Company's information assets.
• Good safety record from past operations.
• Working knowledge of HSE practices common to the industry and the Company.
• Familiar with application of the HSE Management System and continuous improvement.
