Job summary

Archirodon seeks a seasoned Lifting Superintendent to lead onsite lifting operations across onshore and offshore facilities. You will oversee maintenance, inspection, and load testing of pedestal cranes, gantry cranes, and related lifting gear, ensuring compliance with HSE policies and international standards.

A Bachelor in Mechanical Engineering and LEEA credentials are required, with strong English proficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent qualification.
• LEEA lifting operations / appointed person training certification.
• Proficient with lifting equipment standards and reporting software.

Responsibilities

• 10 years' experience supervising and managing site lifting operations, maintenance, inspection and load testing of lifting gear onshore/offshore.
• Prepare lifting plans and supervise critical lifts in oil & gas projects.
• Create and review methods statements, risk assessments, and JSA aligned with HSE policy.
• Verify competency of lifting team (Appointed Person, Lifting Supervisor, Crane Operator, Rigger/Banksman).
• Maintain knowledge of international standards for lifting equipment and operations.
• Stay updated on Health & Safety at Work guidelines.
• Attend client and management meetings on and off site regarding rigging issues.
• Ensure compliance with local legislation and third-party lifting equipment inspections.

Job Description

• Have 10 years proven experience of Supervising and managing site lifting operations, maintenance, inspection and load testing act activities for onshore/offshore Lifting Equipment including Pedestal Cranes, Gantry Cranes, Runway beams, Mobile Cranes, Crawler Cranes, Fork Lifts, Winches, Electric Hoists, PUll Lifts, Chain Blocks, Wire Rope Slings, Webbing Slings, Chain Slings, Shackles, Eye Bolts, Lifeboat Davits/Winches, Container / Baskets, Minimum 5 years hands on experience on maintenance, inspection Load testing & certification Trouble Shooting, auditing of cranes and other fixed / loose lifting items


• Able to prepare Lifting Plans, supervise and execute critical lifting in oil & gas companies.


• Create and review Methods Statements, Risk Assessment and Job Safety Analysis Plans. Works in line with Company HSE Policy ensures Contractors subordinate are aware of, and comply with HSE procedures, rules and regulations for Rigging / Lifting Activities.


• Able to manage the process for verifying the competency of Lifting Team (Appointed Person, Lifting Supervisor, Crane Operator and Rigger / Banksman)


• Have Broad based knowledge and conversant with international standards relevant to Lifting Equipment and Operations


• Remain upto date with Health & Safety at Work Guidelines


• Attend client and company management meetings on and off site regarding site rigging issues.


• Have thorough knowledge of Local legislations


• Have skills in Contracts Management of Third Party Lifting Equipment Inspection

Qualifications

• Holding Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Equivalent Professional Qualification


• LEEA Accredited Training for Lifting Operations / Lifting Appointed Person Course


• Have adequate knowledge in ComputerSoftware and related applications and reporting


• Proficient in English Language
