Job summary

Star Services in Abu Dhabi offshore is seeking an experienced crane operator to manage mobile cranes and related heavy equipment. You will ensure safe lifting, coordinate with riggers, and perform routine checks and maintenance to meet high HSE standards.

Minimum 5 years’ crane operation experience in oil and gas is required; a high school diploma with a two‑year technical diploma is preferred. Offshore allowances apply, with housing and health benefits per policy.

Qualifications

• High School diploma and 2-year technical diploma required.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant practical experience operating mobile cranes, preferably in Oil and Gas.

Responsibilities

• Operate mobile cranes, forklifts and light and heavy vehicles.
• Ensure lifting and related operations are carried out in accord to Company procedures and HSE/Quality standards.
• Daily checking of heavy equipment conditions before using and log any fault or damage and coordinate with ground operators/Riggers/Banksman.
• Timely completion of lifting activities as per standards and maintenance plan.
• Carry out maintenance activities on equipment and facilities as per instruction and defined standards.
• Prepare status update/shift reports for management to inform daily maintenance activities.
• Monitor equipment condition and report faults to foreman-civil and supervisor-civil.
• All reports are presented timely and accurately in line with schedule.
• Monitor inspection results and adherence to procedures.

Job Description & Responsibilities

• Operate mobile cranes, forklifts and light and heavy vehicles.
• Ensure lifting and other related operations are carried out in accord to Company's procedures and HSE/Quality standards.
• Daily checking of heavy equipment conditions before using and log any fault operation or any damage on the heavy equipment & other vehicles coordinate with ground operators/Riggers/Banksman and interpret hand and verbal signals.
• Timely completion of lifting activities as per standards and maintenance plan.
• The job holder is accountable for carrying out maintenance activities on equipment and facilities as per instruction and defined standards.
• Prepare status update/shift reports to keep management informed about the daily maintenance activities and o facilitate decision making.
• Regular checking of heavy equipment conditions and report any fault operation of the heavy equipment and other vehicles to foreman -civil and supervisor-civil.
• All reports are presented timely and accurately in line with schedule. .
• Monitor the physical condition of related equipment,and record results of inspection.
• Adherence to procedures.
