Job summary

MTEC Electromechanical Works LLC is seeking an experienced HSE professional to provide continuous field-level monitoring, coaching and compliance support across active construction sites in Abu Dhabi. You will verify RAMS, inspect work areas, coordinate toolbox talks, maintain records, and intervene to stop unsafe acts.

UAE/GCC site experience and NEBOSH IGC are highly preferred for this full-time role. Effective communication in English and collaboration with supervisors and subcontractors are

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Safety, Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of construction HSE experience, preferably in MEP/building projects.
• NEBOSH IGC or equivalent recognized HSE certification is strongly preferred/required subject to project requirements.
• Practical knowledge of construction hazards, PPE, PTW, work-at-height, lifting, hot work and housekeeping controls.
• Ability to identify unsafe conditions, communicate corrective actions and maintain accurate records.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine inspections of work areas, access routes, tools, equipment, scaffolds, housekeeping, PPE and welfare conditions.
• Verify permits and approved RAMS are available and understood before high-risk activities begin.
• Conduct/coordinate toolbox talks, safety briefings and task-specific awareness sessions and maintain attendance records.
• Immediately intervene in unsafe acts or conditions and escape serious/imminent risks in accordance with stop-work procedures.
• Monitor work-at-height, hot work, lifting, confined space, excavation, electrical and other assigned construction activities.
• Record safety observations, near misses and non-compliances and follow up corrective actions to verified closure.
• Support incident investigations by securing evidence, collecting statements and maintaining required documentation.
• Check firefighting equipment, emergency arrangements, first-aid provisions and designated evacuation routes.
• Maintain inspection checklists, PTW records, training logs and daily HSE reports.
• Coordinate respectfully with supervisors, foremen and subcontractor representatives to improve safe work practices.

REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS

• Diploma or degree in Safety, Engineering or a related discipline; recognized HSE certification required.
