Job description

We are seeking a highly experienced Production Manager to oversee our pharmaceutical manufacturing operations in Dubai. The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 10 years of experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing, with a proven track record in managing audits and implementing SAP systems. Proficiency in Arabic is a strong advantage.

Key Responsibilities:

Production Management:

  • Oversee and manage all aspects of pharmaceutical production, ensuring efficient and compliant operations.
  • Develop, implement, and optimize production plans and schedules aligned with company goals and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor production processes, address issues promptly, and ensure adherence to quality standards.

SAP Implementation and Optimization:

  • Lead the implementation, configuration, and optimization of SAP Production Planning (PP) and other relevant modules.
  • Collaborate with IT and SAP consultants to tailor solutions to production needs.
  • Provide training and support to production staff on SAP functionalities.

Quality and Compliance:

  • Ensure strict adherence to pharmaceutical industry standards, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare for and manage internal and external audits, including regulatory inspections and certifications.
  • Implement and oversee corrective and preventive actions to address audit findings.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and product quality.
  • Apply lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Analyze production data to drive informed decision-making.

Team Leadership and Development:

  • Manage, mentor, and develop the production team, fostering a collaborative and positive work environment.
  • Conduct performance reviews and provide constructive feedback.

Resource Management:

  • Oversee the management of production resources, including manpower, equipment, and materials.
  • Develop and control production budgets to ensure cost-effective operations.
  • Ensure the maintenance and proper functioning of production equipment.

Supplier and Vendor Management:

  • Collaborate with suppliers to ensure the quality of raw materials and components.
  • Address and resolve supplier-related issues and drive improvements in the supply chain.

Documentation and Reporting:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation related to production processes.
  • Provide timely and detailed reports on production performance to senior management.

Qualifications:

  • Pharmacist graduate with any advanced degree or relevant professional certification is preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in production management within the pharmaceutical manufacturing industry.
  • Proven experience with SAP Production Planning (PP) and other relevant SAP modules.
  • Extensive experience in managing audits and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Proficiency in Arabic is preferred.
