Job summary

Keyrock is seeking a Head of Engineering / Engineering Lead with strong experience in systematic options trading to head the Options Engineering team. You will drive the evolution of our automated quoting, execution, pricing workflows, and risk controls, while ensuring production reliability across the trading platform.

You will lead a team of about 7 engineers, collaborate with traders, quants, product, risk and infra, and balance latency with safety and delivery speed in a dynamic crypto

Qualifications

• 7+ years in systematic trading or low-latency systems.
• Strong hands-on experience with Rust, C++, or C.
• Willingness to become deeply proficient in Rust.
• Deep understanding of algorithmic options trading, quoting, and risk controls.
• Experience building/maintaining low-latency trading systems in derivatives.
• Production SQL databases experience, PostgreSQL preferred.
• Familiar with functional/component testing and validation practices.
• Solid grasp of distributed systems and production reliability.
• Knowledge of gRPC; Node.js-based services preferred.
• Prior crypto exchange connectivity or FPGA exposure is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow an Options Engineering team of about 7 engineers.
• Provide technical direction on trading infrastructure and system design.
• Own and evolve a Rust-native systematic options trading platform.
• Collaborate with traders, quants, product, risk, and infra teams to deliver features.
• Balance latency, reliability, and delivery speed in production systems.
