Job summary

Keyrock is seeking a Head of Engineering / Engineering Lead to steer the Options Engineering team and the evolution of a Rust-native, systematic options trading platform. You will drive automated quoting, execution, risk controls, and production reliability, while collaborating with traders, quants and product teams across international time zones.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in systematic trading, options market-making or low-latency trading systems
• Strong hands-on experience with Rust, C++, or C
• Willingness to become deeply proficient in Rust
• Strong understanding of algorithmic options trading, including quoting, execution, pricing, risk controls
• Experience building or maintaining low-latency trading systems in options/derivatives
• Experience with SQL databases in production (PostgreSQL preferred)
• Knowledge of functional/component testing and production-grade validation
• Strong understanding of distributed systems, service boundaries, and production reliability
• Knowledge of gRPC; Node.js-based services preferred
• Crypto exchange connectivity and/or FPGA technologies preferred

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow an Options Engineering team of around 7 engineers
• Provide technical direction across trading infrastructure, system design, performance, reliability and risk controls
• Own and evolve a Rust-native systematic options trading platform
• Collaborate closely with traders, quants, product, risk and infra stakeholders
• Balance technical leadership with delivery ownership and operational discipline
