Job summary

Keyrock is seeking a Head of Engineering / Engineering Lead with strong experience in systematic options trading to lead our Options Engineering team. The role focuses on continuous improvement of the trading infrastructure, automated quoting, execution, risk controls and production reliability.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in systematic trading, options market-making or low-latency systems.
• Strong hands-on with Rust, C++, or C.
• Willing to become deeply proficient in Rust.
• Understanding of algorithmic options trading, risk controls.
• Experience with low-latency trading systems, preferably in options/derivatives.
• Experience with SQL databases, PostgreSQL preferred.
• Familiarity with testing and production validation practices.
• Strong knowledge of distributed systems and production reliability.
• Knowledge of gRPC and Node.js-based services preferred.
• Crypto exchange connectivity and FPGA experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow an options engineering team of around 7 engineers.
• Provide technical direction across trading infrastructure and system design.
• Own and evolve the Rust-native systematic options trading platform.
• Balance latency, reliability, safety, complexity, and delivery speed.
• Work with traders, quants, risk, product, and infrastructure stakeholders.
• Mentor engineers and maintain production-grade delivery.
