Summary: The Head of Engineering is responsible for the overall leadership and management of the engineering department for Automotive/ Lifestyle & Luxury products.

Responsibilities

• Set the strategic direction for the engineering department and ensure that it aligns with the companys overall goals.
• Manage the engineering budget and ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget.
• Have high standards of collaborating with great international brands and jointly executing projects with our foreign acquired companies.
• Hire train and develop engineering staff.
• Oversee the engineering process from conception to deployment.
• Ensure that engineering projects meet the highest standards of quality and reliability.
• Represent the engineering department to senior management and external stakeholders.
• Plan design and oversee engineering projects ensuring theyre completed on time within budget and with the expected quality and reliability and identifying and mitigating any risk

Qualifications

• Masters degree in engineering or a related field.
• 15 to 18 years of experience in engineering leadership roles in the automotive industry. Preferably with experience in UAE.
• Strong technical skills in a variety of engineering disciplines including mechanical electrical and software engineering.
• Proven ability to manage and motivate engineering teams.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Experience with automotive regulations and standards.
