Job summary

Airalo, the world’s first eSIM store, seeks a Head of Controllership. This remote-first role will architect and lead a scalable accounting function across 100 markets and multi-entity structures, owning global financial reporting, controls, compliance and audits.

You will drive IFRS and US GAAP readiness, implement policies, automate close processes, manage external audits with Big 4, and partner with leadership to ensure timely reporting and strong cash stewardship.

Qualifications

• Deep knowledge of IFRS and familiarity with US GAAP for IPO readiness.
• Experience implementing robust internal controls and managing audits across jurisdictions.
• Ability to lead high-performance accounting teams across geographies.
• Strong understanding of multi-currency consolidations and intercompany eliminations.
• Track record driving ERP and close automation initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Lead global accounting operations across multiple entities and currencies.
• Design and implement global accounting policies and internal control frameworks.
• Own monthly, quarterly and annual close, including consolidation and reporting packages.
• Drive automation of AP/AR, reconciliations, and journal entries; evolve ERP stack.
• Coordinate and lead internal and external audits with Big 4 and regulators.
• Oversee statutory compliance with local regulators across jurisdictions.
• Support M&A entity setups and restructuring with technical accounting input.
• Establish and monitor metrics (DSO, DPO, CCC) affecting reporting accuracy.
