Job summary

MAVI is seeking a Head of Accounting in the United Arab Emirates to own the US GAAP accounting function end-to-end for US-based IT SaaS clients. You will oversee the close, financial statements, ASC 606 revenue recognition, and multi-entity accounting while partnering with US leadership.

You will lead audits, build robust controls, and drive ERP implementations, influencing strategy and growth in a lean, high-trust environment. Dubai-based role with direct exposure to US finance leadership.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of accounting experience with deep US GAAP knowledge.
• Demonstrated ownership of close and financial statements independently.
• Strong depth in ASC 606 revenue recognition and deferred revenue mechanics.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end US GAAP close monthly, quarterly, and yearly.
• Own revenue recognition under ASC 606 with schedules and roll-forwards.
• Ensure GL integrity and balance sheet accuracy with timely reconciliations.
• Lead annual audit or review and coordinate with external auditors.
• Oversee multi-entity accounting, consolidation, and intercompany activity.
• Build policies, controls, and SOPs to standardize the function.
• Partner with US Controllers, CFOs, and founders on financial decisions.
