Job summary

Aldar Education in Abu Dhabi seeks a Head of Arabic to guide the Arabic department, align with school vision, and ensure high-quality teaching for Years 5–13. You will shape curriculum, support SEN/G&T/EAL learners, and lead a team of Arabic language specialists within a leading UAE education group.

The role emphasizes UAE cultural integration, collaboration with the Executive Leadership Team, and driving innovations in Arabic language education across the group of schools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in a related subject with PGCE or an equivalent teacher qualification.
• Masters in Arabic Language or education is preferred but not necessary.
• Minimum 5 years teaching experience with some leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Strategic direction and development: contribute to the whole school vision and attend Executive Leadership Team meetings when invited.
• Lead a vision for the Arabic department with innovative learning experiences and high-quality outcomes.
• Ensure curriculum coverage, progression, and teaching standards for Year 5–13 including SEN/G&T/EAL.
• Lead performance management of the Arabic First and Second Language team and manage regular faculty meetings.
