Job summary

Sana Commerce is seeking a Head of Research and Design to steer an AI-native product and an agentic commerce experience. You will lead and collaborate with the design and research teams, shaping the strategy and standards while staying hands-on in research, prototyping and design.

Qualifications

Proven experience building AI-powered or agentic products with demonstrable prototypes or shipped products.
Strong portfolio of commercially shipped products with measurable impact.
Experience leading both product design and user research end-to-end.

Responsibilities

Lead the research and design team toward a clear product direction—AI-native and agentic.
Own end-to-end experience, ensuring coherence and trust across the journey.
Shape agentic experience design, including conversational and headless interactions.
Develop a scalable AI-driven design system and tokens framework.
Own the research agenda and translate insights into vision for the product.
Uphold high craft standards and efficient methods for a small team.
