Job summary

Sana Commerce in Dubai seeks a Head of Research and Design to lead the team shaping an AI-native, agentic commerce experience. You own the direction, stay involved in work, and partner with global leaders to define how products are built and used.

Designers here own the end-to-end journey, focusing on trust, performance, and increasingly generated moments, as the AI-native design system scales across the product.

Qualifications

• Proven experience building AI-powered or agentic products, with demonstrable examples.
• Strong portfolio of commercially shipped products used by real customers.
• Proven experience leading both product design and user research, owning the end-to-end product experience.
• A track record of using user, market and industry research to shape product direction.
• Practical AI fluency across the research and design process, including design systems built for AI generation.
• Experience leading and developing designers and researchers, collaborating with Product Management and other disciplines.
• Experience in e-commerce is strongly preferred, B2B or B2C.

Responsibilities

• Lead the research and design team towards a clear picture of what we are building: an AI-native product and an agentic commerce experience.
• Own the end-to-end experience; designers own the journey and the system holds it together.
• Design agentic experiences, including transparency, control, and fallback, as buyers and sellers transact via conversations.
• Develop an AI-native design system: a token-driven system consumable by AI tooling.
• Own the research agenda and future direction for agentic commerce and B2B experiences.
• Maintain a high craft bar for fidelity and speed across the team.
