Job summary

VHR Global Technical Recruitment seeks an experienced Manager – IT Infrastructure & Engineering Platforms to lead secure, high-performance infrastructure for a next-generation aerospace programme in the Middle East. You will oversee cloud platforms, HPC, PLM/EDMS, networking, storage and DR, driving architecture and operations from design to handover.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of IT infrastructure experience.
• 5+ years supporting engineering computing in aerospace/defence.
• Strong cloud infrastructure experience in secure or sovereign environments.
• Proven expertise in HPC cluster design and operations.
• Experience supporting PLM or EDMS platforms.
• Strong knowledge of enterprise networking, storage, backup and disaster recovery.
• Excellent leadership and stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

• Design and manage secure sovereign cloud infrastructure with security, scalability and data residency in mind.
• Build and operate HPC environments for engineering workloads such as FEA and CFD.
• Deploy and support PLM, EDMS and MBSE platform infrastructure.
• Manage engineering compute environments, including VDI, workstations, software deployment and licensing.
• Own networking, storage, backup, disaster recovery and business continuity capabilities.
• Lead infrastructure projects from architecture through operational handover.
• Collaborate with engineering, DevSecOps, quality and configuration management teams.
• Manage technology vendors and third-party suppliers.
• Lead and mentor a small infrastructure team while remaining technically hands-on.
