Job summary

Gateworth Group is seeking a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to own regional infrastructure, networking, cybersecurity and end-user computing in the UAE. You will work hands-on with global IT teams and local stakeholders to ensure secure, reliable IT services across the business.

You will lead projects, automate where possible and collaborate with external vendors while delivering strong customer-focused IT support across the Middle East region.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a senior infrastructure, systems or technology operations role.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365, Windows Server, Active Directory and Entra ID (user lifecycle, identity concepts).
• Experience supporting enterprise networking: Fortigate, UniFi, Cisco switching, wireless access points, VLANs, VPNs and structured cabling.
• Hands-on experience with core infrastructure platforms including Windows 11, meeting room technologies, printers and end-user devices.
• Exposure to cloud and enterprise applications such as Business Central, EasyJob ERP, ServiceNow, Atera, Smartsheet, Dropbox Enterprise, HubSpot, and similar business systems.
• Experience with cybersecurity tools and practices: CrowdStrike, Proofpoint, MFA, endpoint security and email security.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and support core infrastructure, networking and technology platforms across the Middle East region, including Microsoft 365, Windows Server, enterprise networking, system performance monitoring, documentation, and hardware lifecycle management.
• Deliver 2nd/3rd line support and assist the Helpdesk when needed, providing professional technical assistance to employees at all levels. Handle onboarding/offboarding, troubleshoot end-user devices and meeting room technologies, and work closely with global IT to resolve complex issues.
• Lead the technical delivery of local infrastructure projects and regional technology initiatives. Identify opportunities to automate manual processes, improve operational efficiency, and introduce emerging technologies such as AI-enabled tools, Microsoft Copilot and automation platforms.
• Support cybersecurity activities in partnership with global IT, including vulnerability remediation, endpoint security, documentation, compliance, and promoting security awareness across the business.
• Build strong working relationships with employees, department heads, global IT and external vendors. Coordinate technical issues, support technology implementations, communicate clearly with technical and non-technical audiences, and deliver a customer-focused IT service while managing priorities effectively.

Overview

Gateworth Group is assisting a global leader in immersive technology, operating across the Middle East and wider globe. They deliver large‑scale live event solutions and rely on a stable, secure and well‑managed technology environment to support operations across the GCC.

They are now seeking a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to take ownership of regional infrastructure, networking, cyber security and end‑user computing. This is a hands‑on role working closely with global IT teams, local stakeholders and external vendors to ensure reliable, resilient and secure IT services across the business.

Main Responsibilities

• Ability to prioritise workloads in a fast‑paced operational environment and work independently when required.
• Comfortable leading during emergencies and supporting operational continuity.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with AV and collaboration technologies (E.g Q‑SYS, Microsoft Teams Rooms, Logitech Rally, digital signage or AV‑over‑IP systems.)
• Familiarity with physical security systems such as Avigilon Alta and Hikvision CCTV.
• Exposure to cloud telephony platforms such as 3CX and mobile fleet management.
• Experience with automation or scripting (Power Platform, PowerShell or similar).
• Experience using AI‑enabled tools to improve IT operations or business processes.
• Cisco networking experience.
