Hands-On Farm Manager: UAE Irrigation & Operations

Job summary

We are seeking an experienced Farm Manager to take full responsibility for the day-to-day operation, maintenance and development of a private farm in the UAE. The successful candidate will oversee agricultural activities, landscaping, irrigation, equipment, infrastructure, staff and external contractors.

This hands-on role requires visiting the site daily, identifying issues on the ground and taking prompt action to maintain high standards and drive improvements across operations.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5–7 years of farm management or senior agricultural operations experience, preferably in the UAE or GCC.
• Demonstrable hands-on experience managing a farm or substantial agricultural property.
• Strong knowledge of irrigation, landscaping, farm machinery and maintenance.
• Experience managing farm workers and contractors.
• Ability to diagnose practical problems and organize solutions independently.
• Good understanding of purchasing, supplier management and cost control.
• Ability to maintain clear records and provide concise reports to management.
• Good spoken and written English.
• UAE driving licence preferred.
• Agricultural qualification, diploma or degree would be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day operation of the farm and ensure all areas are well maintained.
• Plan, supervise and monitor planting, cultivation, harvesting and land management.
• Monitor plant health, irrigation, pests, diseases and soil conditions.
• Oversee irrigation systems, pumps, water tanks, wells and related equipment.
• Oversee farm machinery, vehicles, tools and preventive maintenance.
• Manage on-site staff, allocate duties, track attendance and performance.
• Coordinate with suppliers, contractors and service providers on budgets and quality.
• Maintain records of activities, purchases, maintenance and expenditure.
