Job summary

United Safety seeks an H2S Technician for our Abu Dhabi operations. The role involves planning with on-site client representatives for drilling and industrial sites, operating safety equipment, and conducting H2S drills and safety meetings.

Responsibilities include installing and deploying safety gear, ensuring Site Safety Plan adherence, coordinating with Safety Officers, and following PTW procedures. Offshore H2S experience and UAE residency are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2.5 years of offshore H2S work experience.
• Fluent in English.
• Education: High School Diploma minimum.
• Currently residing in UAE or available to join immediately.

Responsibilities

• Assist to plan, organize and to control required activities with on-site client representative(s) for drilling, well servicing and industrial locations.
• Under Senior supervision: operates and ensures function, operational readiness of various equipment and testing systems to ensure response quality; conducts H2S drills, rescues, inspections & tests, site hazard assessments and safety meetings on-site.
• Installs and dismantles H2S safety equipment, including loading and transporting equipment to the worksite; strategically placing required equipment for rapid response including Cascade system, Breathing air lines, manifolds, breathing apparatuses, gas detection systems, barriers, signs and briefing areas.
• Ensures Site Safety Plan is followed.
• Ensures proper & smooth co-ordination with Safety Officers.
• Provides input and support for the safe conduct of work.
• Ensures PTW procedures & all safety procedures are followed by contractor personnel.
• Conducts regular work site safety inspections / audits / walk downs.
• Participates in incident investigations following any incidents.
• Assist safety department with audits during shutdowns.
• Reviews JSA (Job Safety Analysis) for each job.
• Other duties as assigned.

Desired Candidate Profile

Must Have:

• Minimum 2.5 years of previous H2S work experience (offshore)

• Fluent in English

• Education: High School Diploma minimum

• Currently residing in UAE or available to join immediately
