Job summary

CS & Clarks in Abu Dhabi is seeking a Finance Lead to oversee daily financial operations, manage budgeting and forecasting, and provide strategic financial guidance. The role requires strong UAE accounting knowledge and VAT compliance, with preference for candidates from gym or fitness sectors.

The successful candidate will coordinate with auditors and banks, supervise payroll and reconciliations, and drive cost optimisation across departments while reporting to senior management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
• Proven experience in financial management, accounting, or similar finance leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and cost control.
• Good understanding of UAE VAT, corporate tax, and financial compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily financial operations including accounting, cash flow, AP, and AR.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.
• Develop and monitor budgets, forecasts, and financial plans.
• Monitor revenue, operating expenses, profitability, and financial performance.
• Manage cash flow, working capital, and financial controls to ensure financial stability.
• Analyse financial results and provide recommendations to management for profitability improvements.
• Ensure accurate financial records and compliance with UAE accounting standards and VAT regulations.
• Coordinate with external auditors, banks, tax consultants, and other financial stakeholders.
• Oversee payroll processing, reconciliations, invoicing, and payment procedures.
• Establish and maintain internal controls, financial policies, and procedures.
• Monitor financial performance across departments and identify cost-optimisation opportunities.
• Support management in business planning, investment decisions, and strategic financial initiatives.
• Prepare financial analyses related to pricing, membership revenue, and operating costs.
