Job summary

qlub is seeking a Business Development Manager to drive growth of SoftPOS across the UAE. You will identify, engage, and close partnerships with restaurant groups and independent operators, building a strong pipeline and converting opportunities into long-term collaborations.

In a fast-paced fintech environment, you’ll work with founders and senior decision-makers to move customers from traditional card machines to faster, hardware-free payments.

Qualifications

• Experience in sales, business development, account management, or partnerships.
• Strong understanding of UAE restaurant, F&B, hospitality, payments, POS or fintech markets.
• Ability to explain card acceptance, terminals, and merchant fees; hardware-free value.
• Strong network of restaurant owners, operators, or hospitality decision-makers.
• Confident managing full sales cycle and working toward ambitious targets.
• Commercial mindset with ability to understand client needs and position solutions clearly.
• Fluent English; Arabic is an advantage.
• Relevant business degree preferred, but strong commercial experience is more important.

Responsibilities

• Build a strong UAE restaurant and F&B prospects pipeline for qlub SoftPOS.
• Source leads through network, market research, referrals, field visits, and outbound activity.
• Identify decision-makers and manage the full sales cycle from first contact to signed agreement.
• Lead meetings, SoftPOS demos, product discussions, proposals, negotiations, and follow-ups.
• Use market knowledge and sales data to prioritise opportunities and improve conversion.
• Understand each merchant’s current payment setup and position SoftPOS against traditional card machines.
• Work with Operations & Onboarding to ensure partners are set up and taking first payments smoothly.
• Stay close to accounts, supporting early adoption and growth opportunities.
• Identify SoftPOS opportunities within existing qlub accounts and collaborate with the commercial team.
• Share market feedback and competitor insights with the wider team.
• Keep CRM and pipeline updates accurate and up to date.
