Job summary

Minor International is seeking an Assistant Director of Groups & Events in Dubai to lead day-to-day activities for groups and events, forecast sales with Revenue Manager, and develop special events to showcase the hotel. You will build rapports with key clients and explore new markets, including trade shows and major market events locally and nationally.

You will coordinate with multiple departments to maximize event revenue, maintain accurate client data in Opera PMS, and guide coordinators,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in any related field.
• Luxury Hotel Experience in groups and events.
• Passionate seller and excellent communication skills.
• Ability to influence and persuade with excellent negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

• Main point of contact for client and entire event operation (banquet, accounting, technical AV, rooms, kitchen).
• Coordinate with all departments to meet group/event needs.
• Maintain policies in the group sales contract (deposits, cutoff dates, attrition, billing).
• Coordinate sales efforts between events and catering to maximize function space revenues.
• Have excellent knowledge of hotel facilities, capacities, and meeting room dimensions.
• Negotiate to maximize revenue and profit while satisfying client needs.
• Develop creative menu presentations for potential clients.
• Conduct property tours with planners and clients.
• Ensure SOPs, setup, floor plans, and menus are accurate in systems.
