Job summary

WSP in the Middle East seeks a motivated Emirati Graduate Engineer to join our Marine Infrastructure team in the UAE. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate in Civil, Structural, or Marine Engineering to start a career in marine infrastructure, working with experienced engineers on diverse projects.

You will assist with project planning, design, analysis, construction supervision, and documentation while developing professional skills and contributing to sustainable engineering

Qualifications

• UAE National with a valid Family Book.
• Bachelor's degree in Marine Engineering, Civil/Structural Engineering, or related field.
• Recent graduate or up to 2 years of experience in marine infrastructure.
• Solid understanding of marine engineering principles, design standards, and construction methodologies.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD or STAAD.Pro.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Effective verbal and written English; knowledge of Arabic is advantageous.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team and adapt to changing project requirements.

Responsibilities

Project Planning and Design

• Support the planning and design of marine infrastructure projects.
• Assist with technical studies, calculations, drawings, and reports.
• Coordinate with different engineering disciplines to support project delivery.

Structural Analysis and Engineering

• Assist with the analysis and design of marine structures such as quay walls, jetties, and breakwaters.
• Use engineering software to support design and assessment activities.
• Contribute to selecting suitable materials and construction methods.

Construction Management and Supervision

• Provide technical support during construction activities and site visits.
• Assist in resolving design-related issues and ensuring compliance with project requirements.
• Support testing, commissioning, and project handover activities.

Health, Safety, and Environmental Compliance

• Follow health, safety, and environmental standards in all project activities.
• Support sustainable and environmentally responsible engineering practices.

Project Documentation and Reporting

• Proficiency in engineering software such as AutoCAD, STAAD.Pro, or similar.
• Familiarity with marine construction techniques and materials.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills in English. Knowledge of Arabic is advantageous.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and adapt to changing project requirements.
