Job summary

Jobgether's partner in the United Arab Emirates is seeking a DevOps + Go Platform Engineer to build and evolve an internal developer platform and CI/CD ecosystem. You will operate across Kubernetes, on-premise, Windows/Hyper‑V, and cloud or hybrid deployments on AWS, Azure, and GCP, driving reliability and developer experience.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of senior DevOps or Platform Engineering experience.
• Hands-on experience with on-premises infrastructure and hardware issues.
• Proficient with at least one major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Recent production Go experience with tools/backends.
• Strong Kubernetes experience.
• Solid knowledge of GitLab CI/CD.
• Linux administration and troubleshooting skills.
• Infrastructure as Code with Terraform and Ansible.
• Observability and monitoring with Grafana/OpenSearch/Prometheus.
• Experience with Windows, Hyper-V, and PowerShell.
• Ownership mindset and independent problem solving.
• Understanding full software delivery lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, maintain, and optimize scalable CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI/CD.
• Support and improve infrastructure across on‑premise, cloud, and hybrid environments.
• Develop, maintain, and refactor internal platform tools in Go and replace deployment systems.
• Investigate environments, identify weaknesses, and implement improvements.
• Optimize staging and ephemeral environments for performance and cost.
• Manage infrastructure as code with Terraform and Ansible.
• Strengthen observability with Grafana, OpenSearch, Prometheus, and related tooling.
• Provide operational support and troubleshoot as part of a shared team.
• Collaborate with R&D, QA, SRE and infra teams to improve developer workflows.
• Work across modern stacks and legacy Windows/Hyper‑V systems.
